I am excited about being one of the newest members of the Chicago Writers Association’s Board of Directors.
This opportunity was the response to a thought I had put into the Universe about being on the board of directors of a nonprofit organization, preferably a literary one.
Lo, and behold, I got an email asking if I would be interested in joining. And within a week I received confirmation that I was the newest member of the board.
I’m pretty excited as this opportunity will allow me to share and expand upon my skills, knowledge and experiences. I don’t know what else it’ll bring but I’m looking forward to it.

Congrats, Marcie. I have been a board member here for about seven years; I think you’ll definitely be able to benefit from the experience and the vast knowledge of the group.
Thanks Jennifer. I’m looking forward to this opportunity.
Oh my goodness! I’m so proud for you. A recognition well deserved, my friend!
Thanks a bunch, Lisa.
CONGRATS!! You must be so excited. I can’t wait to read about the visions you bring to this group. (I believe it was mentioned to me during my first NFPW Conference in Alaska; if so, even more reason to check it out.)
Thanks so much, Diana. If you have any ideas on leadership, please let me know. I haven’t held such a position in years.
