When I began my freelance writing journey over 20 years ago Jennifer Brown Banks and Hurley Green helped jump start my freelance writing career.
Jennifer published my first magazine article in Mahogany magazine and Hurley printed my first newspaper article in the Chicago Independent Bulletin.
It was a blessing to have them both at the book signing for Chicago Roller Skating History: 1880-2025.
They have seen and supported my growth for the past two decades. And it was a great feeling to have them at my book signing. It was truly a full-circle moment.
