I have not been blogging much because I’ve been working on other projects. But I will be back soon. In addition to ghostwriting blog posts and producing articles for community newspapers, following are other projects that have my attention.
Blogging Success for New Bloggers Course
My online course, Blogging Success for New Bloggers, is taking longer to produce than necessary because of ME. The script and presentation are done, but because of my need to be almost perfect, it has not been produced. Luckily, I have people holding me accountable and everything will be done soon.
Videos
I am pleased to report that I recorded four videos last month. I had a diversity discussion with Mitch Mitchell; a conversation with Bettina Chang about City Bureau; and a pow wow with Melantha Paige about the new tax laws. I also did a talking head video about Chicago’s roller skating history. It’s 19 minutes long (EEK!)
Toastmasters Pathways Program
Toastmasters is rolling out a new educational program called Pathways. All 15,900 clubs have to be introduced to the program. I signed up to be a Pathways Guide to help do this. I had to learn the presentation; visit my assigned clubs to educate members on the program; attend webinars to stay abreast of new developments; and hold weekly virtual sessions.
What’s the benefit of doing this? This leadership role will be credited toward my Distinguished Toastmaster designation, which is the highest designation in the organization.
Looking for a Full-Time Job
I am still looking for a full-time, permanent corporate or software trainer position with benefits in downtown Chicago. I will consider temporary and contract positions with fair rates; however, I’d prefer the former. If you can hire me, or knows anyone who can, please let me know.
Exercising
Exercise and eating healthy are essential for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Therefore, I go to boot camp twice a week, roller skate once a week and try to swim once a week. So far, swimming is losing out; but I do get 3 days of fitness in.
Side note: I just want to say that burpees are evil and so is my fitness coach when he makes us do them.
That’s what’s going on in my world. What’s good with you?
