I am so close to blowing up in my writing venture. Well, it will be done through blogging; but still, my efforts were not in vain.
Here’s the newest development. I am about to offer a relatively new service in an un-tapped market. I didn’t realize the fortitude (did I use that correctly?) of what I was about to take on until I sent a prayer request to my friends. Do you know how much of a challenge that is? On the surface, it sounds scary. But thanks to my new friend and spiritual business sister, DeQuiana Brooks, it’s not that difficult. The work is easy; I already know how to do it. I just had to get my marketing message together (thanks to DeQuiana) and get it to the right audience. That will be done before the end of tonight.
It is both scary and exciting because I will be blogging by myself for two days. My friend is going for me on one of the days I can’t make it. I am trying to get another friend to help on the fourth day to offer a “bonus” to the clients because I can’t make it. It’s going to happen.
Here’s the thing. The biggest challenge for me right now is having no history. Once I complete this project, selling the service will not be hard. And, with future projects, I won’t have to work so hard to find the clients because the organization already has them. I will just have to sell my services to the organizations. That will be soooooo easy.
There are two things I want to share before I leave.
First, Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen wrote in their book, Cash in a Flash:
“Your goal is to become a profitable servant, doubling your investment as quickly as possible. To be a profitable servant is to find something you love or are good at and sell it profitably to other people who are searching for it in such a way that they feel served.
When you sell this way, it’s not selling. It’s serving. You love it. They love it.”
Second, a colleague of mine shared that people don’t have a lot of money in this economy. This is true on some levels, but people never stopped spending money. They just had to make different decisions based on priorities. And we all know that people spend money on what’s important to them. What I’m offering is important to the people I’m going to offer it to. Especially international clients.
So, I know that the service I’m about to offer is allowing me to be a profitable servant while helping people to be frugal with their dollars. It will also bring me closer to my dreams faster than I expected.

Marcie! …love your writings. You sound passionate about what you are doing. And I think that really matters. Keep it going. You are getting the word out. You can imagine that I am reading this perhaps when you are in bed…at the other side of the Atlantic. [Aberdeen, Scotland 05.07am]
Thank you so much. It is great to know that my writings are reaching beyond my immediate circle. I love writing and blogging. And the fact that you are reading lets me know that I’m doing what I set out to do.
