Soulful Chicago Book Fair – Sunday, July 15th
Check out authors in all genres at the Soulful Chicago Book Fair, Chicago’s largest outdoor African American book event, from 10 am to 8 pm on Sunday, July 15, 2018. The fair will be held on 61st Street btw. Cottage Grove & King Drive.
Chicago Writers Association Summer Social – Saturday, July 21st
Join members of the Chicago Writers Association and Illinois Woman’s Press Association for the 6th Annual Summer Social on July 21 at 7 pm – 10 pm at the Hidden Shamrock, 2723 N. Halsted.
Linda Gartz, six-time Emmy-award-honored television producer, blogger, essay writer, and author of the memoir, Redlined, is the special guest for the evening. There will be free appetizers, a cash bar and networking with some of the city’s finest communicators.

APS AWARDS GALA – Thursday, August 23rd
Come out and celebrate some of the industry’s finest independent authors at the APS Awards Gala. This elegant night, filled with food, fun, and entertainment, will be held from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Kroc Center, 1250 West 119th Street, in Chicago.
