To Wildred & the Praying Skaters at Glenwood Roller Rink

Posted on August 5, 2009 by Ms. Marcie

I want to give much love and many shouts out to my girl, Wildred Bennett, who gave her entire self in an attempt to save a man’s life.

Marcie & Wildred
Marcie & Wildred

A gentleman fell out at Glenwood Skating Rink today.  I don’t know all of the details about what happened.  But I do know that Wildred,  a mastered degreed Registered Nurse and Nursing Instructor, responded immediately.  She and Risse (a nursing student) did their best to keep him stable until the ambulance arrived.  Great work, ladies!

What was really amazing, though, was to see God at work.  Wildred had arrived at the skating rink about 5 minutes before the incident.  That was nothing but God.  That’s not to say that the gentleman wouldn’t have received care; but God sent a trained professional with a big heart to handle the situation.  And to see all of the praying skaters.  I have never seen anything like it before in my life!!  The Spirit was in that place, but you had to be there to feel it.

Do you believe that someone even asked her, “You’re a nurse, and you have compassion?”  What has this world come to?

Anyway, I want to let Wildred know how much she is appreciated.  I also want to let my readers know that there are good people in this world, and I want to make sure they are found on As NOT Seen on TV.

I’m not surprised at Wildred not thinking about herself. She had no protective equipment and she proceeded to do what any of God’s real children would do!!. May She forever be true to her calling.

She is and was a blessing. I pray that she continues to be blessed.
