Here are five reasons why New Media Expo Rocks based on my recent experience.
Sessions Start at 9:00 a.m.
I’ve literally dragged my a** to sessions that began at 8:00 a.m. Thanks for respecting the creative muse.
45 Minute Presentations
This is perfect, as it allows the presenter at least 30 minutes for presenting and 15 minutes for questions. Even though it may not seem like enough time for some presenters who want to share everything they know about their topic, it’s ideal for attendees who want to attend at least five other sessions throughout the day.
Diversity of Speakers
When I attended BlogWorld (NMX’s previous name) in 2010, the presenters were mostly white males. In fact, there was only one black presenter. If you look at the speaking roster this year, there are more females and people of difference races and cultures.
Focus on All Things Social
In addition to learning about blogging, podcasting and social media, we are getting tips and tools on how to market and promote our content. I’ve even gotten tips on how to earn money from podcasts from individual conversations.
The NMX Team is Very Responsive
Allison Boyer, the Content Directo, always responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. I also noticed that the NMX team is very active and responsive on their social media pages.
That’s why I think New Media Expo rocks! Are you at NMX? What is your experience??
