I am currently taking Photoshop and photography classes and am having a blast. Check out my samples of my work below.
PHOTOSHOP
The Photoshop class is part of the graphic design consortium offered by Blue 1647 Tech Innovation Center. We’re learning the basics of the program and have to present our final projects (thank God for Toastmasters).
Here’s a draft of my one sheet/media kit. It’s going to be cooler when I’m done.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Also, here are a few photos I’ve taken over the pass few weeks with photographer extraordinaire, Worsom Robinson. I’m still working on lighting, composition and poses, but I should be okay by the spring.
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS
If there is something you want to do and have the time the funds to do it, make it happen. That’s what I did with Photoshop and Photography. Now that I have the basics I can only get better from here.
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
What are some things you’ve been wanting to do and have been putting off? Would you do it next year if time and money were no issue?
Love these shots Marcie! Love your ambition, drive and willingness to learn new things:) Because I’m going to have to get out and promote my book,(published sometime in 2016!) I’m researching speaking avenues and I’m leaning toward Toastmasters and John Maxwell.
May you continue to flourish in 2016 and beyond!
Clara.
Thanks a bunch, Clara. I feel like such a rookie when I get to class because I’m the new kid in class. It’s really fun, though. Also, I will be creating a post with speaking resources early next year to help you with your book promotion activities. Looking forward to witnessing the great blessings from THE Authentic Woman.
Hi Marcie,
I wanted to stop by and check out your site and my goodness. Love this post and what you’re doing. I agree, if someone wants to learn how to do something then just do it.
I once used Photoshop at a job I worked but the girls there weren’t too friendly in teaching it to me plus it’s a hard program to learn. I guess I was just overwhelmed with it and gave that up quick. It’s a great program though.
Your photography looks like a professional did it but I have a feeling you’d critique it to death. they look pretty great to me.
Congratulations and I know you’ll do well in both these areas. Glad I stopped by to check out your blog.
Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for checking me out, Adrienne. Glad we finally connected.
I appreciate your feedback on my photos. I know I’m hard on myself as a newbie but I’ll get better. And I feel you about Photoshop. It isn’t an easy program to learn but it allows you to create amazing things.
Continued blessings on your endeavors.
You are so inspiring!!! I love your website and your photoshops. Keep it up. I’ll be ready for you in the Spring.
Congrats on the great website and professional looking portraits, Marcie! You’re a shining example
of how persistence and creative talents combine to make you a WINNER in all of your endeavors!
Keep up the great work…
Thanks Hurley! This is a great compliment coming from you.
