Phenomenal Woman by Kenneth Worthington

Posted on September 29, 2011 by Ms. Marcie

Phenomenal woman

Phenomenal woman where have you gone

I’ve read the poems and heard the songs so where have you gone.

Phenomenal woman back in the day, they sang about your grace.

Your powerful mind and beautiful face, your strength and little waist

Your undying love and you the mothers of a race, your sweet and tender embrace

Your demand for RESPECT and your willingness to dye to protect

You have fought and died for our rightful place and dried tears from our children’s face

One of you even went to space and all kind of cooperate places. Don’t get it wrong the system and men are also to blame,

But the women back in the day would not take this s*it in this lame way, Nothing is said in the media or where I’ve read and I hear women on the street call themselves names I refuse to use. Rapper sing about how they tap that and most act like its nothing wrong with that. The song of today call you names I’m ashamed to say Talk about you in horrible phrase and show your sisters in offal ways.

Phenomenal woman where have you gone

I’m not some old dude that’s a prude, But man I was taught to Protect, Respect, Honor and Assist the women and mother of the world. By the phenomenal woman I call Mom.

I’ve looked all over the world   just to find one of you to embrace

Phenomenal woman

Why have they Disgrace you?

Phenomenal woman where have you gone

    Hi Marcie,

Congrats on your Toastmaster Magazine article!!

Thank you for inviting me to your blog. I enjoyed browsing the many interesting topics. Your interview with the writer was an inspiration to me; it was an excellect way to feature an acommplised writer who is helping and motivating others. Your expression of gratitude and appreciation was a thoughtful tribute. It was apparent that the author was moved by your acknowledgement of her accomplishments.
