January31st ends my attempt at posting for 31 days straight. I was participating in BlogHer’s NaBloPoMo for January. While I am still excited about my efforts, I have mixed reviews about my performance.
The Good
- I did write or draft a story every day. I make it a point to write every morning, even if it’s just a to-do list.
- I did not get writer’s block.
- I did stay committed during the entire month.
- I have a truck load of story ideas. Now, I just have to find sites and publications to submit them to.
- I became more verbal and bold online and in-person.
The Not-So-Good
- I did not type my stories everyday because some of the story ideas were more suited for guest posts or magazine articles.
- I’m 12 days behind and need to come up with a series for the last week of the month.
- My topics are all over the place this month and I hope I didn’t run perspective clients away.
- I got a bit too comfortable using curse words. I have to find good substitutes.
The Best-Of-All
Even though I didn’t post every day, I stuck to my guns. There’s still time to fill in those gaps. I’m thinking about discussing my goals and dreams for 2014, a topic that I know I can stick to for five days.
Just wanted to share my progress. I’m hanging in there.
