While writing a story to post on ezinearticles.com, I wanted to know the term for consective words that begin the same letters. These are alliterations. As I conducted more research, I found a listing of stylistic devises including litolites and onomatopoeia. Do you know what those are? Stylistic devises add life to stories, essays and speeches. Litolites ” uses the denied opposite of a word to weaken or soften a message” and onomatopoeia is when “the pronounciation of the word imitates a sound.” These are terms that we probably use in everyday conversation. We just don’t know the correct names for these terms. Enlightenment is a beautiful thing!
