I have a confession. I’m a blog addict. Yeah, I know addict is usually attached to habits, but the dictionary defines addict as “to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or excessively. And to manage four blog sites is extreme to some people, but it’s all love for me.
Why four sites?
They all have different purposes and audiences.
Marcie Writes started as my portfolio site to post my published works. It has evolved into an educational platform where I share my experiences and resources to help people along their writing and blogging journey.
Coming soon: a logo and event calendar
I spotlight people, places and events and provide resources on my community site, Shorty: Your Chicago South Side Resource.
Coming soon: a new design, logo, event calendar and e-newsletter
Real Skate Stories is my research site. I am currently conducting research on Chicago roller skating history and black roller skating in Chicago. My ultimate goal is to built the largest database of roller skating history ever.
Coming soon: a new site design and hopefully more pictures. People are requesting pics but no one is sending them.
Overcoming Blogger’s Block was created as an e-commerce site to sell my book, 62 Blog Posts to Overcome Blogger’s Block.
Coming soon: This site will become an educational site where people can get tools, resources and instruction on how to overcome all types of writer and bloggers block.
I love all of my sites and I’m working on adding more value to my readers in the near future. If you follow any of my sites and have ideas and suggestions to make them better, please leave a comment in the box below or use the contact tab to reach me.
