How many night clubs, personal celebrations and corporate events have you attended and seen female DJs? If you’re like me, I’m sure you can count them on one hand.
One day I was wondering, “What is it like being a female in this male-dominated industry? What challenges do they face, especially in a saturated city like Chicago?”
To get my questions answered, I contacted two lady DJs – Fathom DJ and Mz DJ Tone to learn more about their experiences. Our interview was supposed to be about 30 minutes but it ended up being nearly an hour.
