Happy New Year! I’ve been on a working break which is why I’m just getting back. I really wanted to take my month-long blogging break but I’ve been cleaning my workspace and preparing for great things 2018.
Last month, I was asked to be the editor for a new community newspaper. I said yes but I’m not sure when the first issue will be published. I was called because of the work I did on my Shorty: Your Chicago South Side Resource blog years ago. My work is finally paying off after all these years.
I’ve also been hanging out in Facebook groups for entrepreneurs, writers, speakers and bloggers and have met some cool people. Two topics of discussion that resonated with me were: my word for the year and what I’d like to accomplish this year.
My words/phrases for the year are “No regrets” and “I have nothing to lose”. Also, following are a few things I’d like to accomplish in 2018:
- Create and profit from online courses
- Hold monthly live or pre-recorded webinars
- Market myself more
- Record more YouTube videos (I’m trying to dust the cobwebs off)
- Attend more networking events
As of result of putting things in the Universe, here are a few ventures I have coming up.
