Be sure to check out “How to Report on What Stops Violence” on tomorrow
We’ve seen them. The endless images of parents, family members, friends and other people mourning the loss of a loved one gone too soon.
We’ve heard them. The constant news reports of people, mostly young people, dying of senseless violent deaths.
But how do we report on what stops the violence?
Join Steve Franklin from Columbia College on Tuesday, June 11 from 10 am to noon at 618 S. Michigan, Stage Two, Columbia College, to learn how to report on what stops the violence.
It’s a workshop for journalists on how to measure what works and what’s missing in the effort to stop the violence.
Public health experts will walk us through ways of measuring what agencies say about their work.
Hear about agencies in Chicago on how they do their work, and how you can measure the results.
Natalie Moore, WBEZ’s South Side Bureau chief, is the moderator.
