This post is a follow up to 14 Tips for Completing the First Draft of Your Book that I wrote a few weeks ago.
So, how do you know when your first draft is done?
In my opinion, it is done when you have written everything you think you want to say. You’ll know when that time comes because if you try to add extra stuff, it just won’t feel right.
Remember, it doesn’t matter if your information flows smoothly or if you have a truckload of information; what does matter is your completing that first draft so you can get closer to a finished book.
Also remember that you are not editing at this stage; you are pouring your thoughts onto paper so you can share your message with the world.
