I’ve been absent because I’m in transition, personally and professionally. I’m trying to figure out what to do next, including how to move forward on Marcie Writes. I know what I don’t want to blog about; now I have to pinpoint what I do want to write about.
After months of doing nothing (I’ve been away from all my ventures), here’s what I decided to do: I’m going to take you, my dear blog readers, along for a ride on my journey of decision making (or, lack thereof).
Thus, for the next few months, my blog topics are going to be very random and will lack a common theme. Here are things you may see:
- Reviews and recommendations
- Conversations with friends and colleagues
- Feelings and experiences during my transition
- Random ramblings
- Any other topic that comes to mind
With that said, sit back, buckle up and prepare for this ride. I don’t where this journey will take you, because I have no idea where I am going right now. I can guarantee one thing: you will learn something along the way.

Heck, that sounds like you’re going to turn into me! lol Yeah, I have certain themes I stick to, but when all is said and done I write what I want to write about and do videos about whatever I want to talk about. It’s also probably why I have more than one blog and more than one YouTube channel, because somewhere along the line I also need to be professional since I’m a consultant.
It’ll be interesting to see where you go with the new “you”; I’ll be watching… 🙂
You were a source of inspiration as I made this decision. However, I was torn because this is my main blog and I want people to hire me to write but I’m also burned out on writing and blogging topics. Hopefully, this transition doesn’t turn potential clients away.
Hey Marcie, I am glad to see you’re getting back on track with your blog. These last few months have been so full of uncertainties, that we all need to focus on “restarting”. For me, I’ll take the lead from my GPS—so right now I am “recalculating”. While l’m recalculating my direction and attempting to come up with new content, I’ll go back and choose relevant content to re-post from my blog.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Getting back on track is a big step—I’m glad you’ve restarted the journey. Good luck!
Hey G-Lo, “recalculating” is a good analogy for transitioning. I think I’ll re-purposing content as this time, too. In the meantime, I’ll be pouring topics from my heart onto the blog.
Since variety is the spice of life, seems like you’re on the right track.
Looking forward to something different .
Much success.
Thanks Susan. Let me know if there’s a conversation you’d like to start.
I have missed you, my friend. Excited to see where you take me!
Thank you, Lisa. Thanks for sticking with me.
