There are a few people that I need to thank as I move along in my writer’s life.
Of course, I have to thank my mother, Verlene Hill-Phillips, for not saying what she really thinks about my 101 business ventures. She knows that I am a busy-body, but she lets me do what I need to. She mainly intervenes when she feels I’m waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over my head.
I want to give a big HUGE thank you to Hurley Green, Senior Editor of the Independent Bulletin community newspaper, for encouraging me in all of my writing ventures. He was first to recognize my writing talents, and continues to help me improve upon my craft.
Veteran freelance journalist Jennifer Brown-Banks is a great source of encouragement and support. She also makes sure I get stuff completed in a timely manner. So, I make sure to tell her about the projects I’m working on because I know she will make sure I get it done. It’s great to have people who care in your corner.
My friend, Demond, is the coolest. Each week he asks me if I submitted a query letter. He told me to increase my query letter output to at least three per week. What a great support! Now, I must say that he surprised me because he was the least likely person I expected to push me along like that. I’m glad that he does, though.
Thanks Marcie for your kind words.
You forgot to mention the nice gifts I buy my clients too!
Which, by the way, you have yet to pick up the latest.:-)
Much continued success!
