There are not enough words, messages or greeting cards to express gratitude to the people who have served us along our life’s journey. Thankfully, we have blogs. And today I would like to use mine to thank a few people who have supported me along my professional journey, and to recommend their services.
Marc Moran – The Bestest Graphic Designer in the World
Marc Moran is truly blessed with a visual gift. He created my Shorty image and we had never met in person. He also wrote and illustrated The Conqueror and Conqueris graphic novel, which is highly recommend for your teens.
One of the things I appreciate most about Marc is his level of responsiveness and honesty. When I reach out to him for project requests, he’ll let me know about his availability, which allows me to determine if I want to wait for him or find someone else. You know I wait, right?
His patience is also a virtue. There have been times when I was sweating small details of a project and he made the changes with no problems. Or I was a being picky about something on a project and he just changed it back to the original.
Need an amazing graphic designer for your projects? E-mail Marc at overcomer91@sbcglobal.net.
Nile Flores – Queen of WordPress
When I first met her at WordCamp Chicago over five years ago, Nile Flores’ bubbly personality greeted me, and we’ve been in touch ever since. Here are the a few truths about Nile: she loves WordPress; she’s passionate about web and graphic design and blogging; and her son is her world.
She has created three sites for me: The Write Design Company, my business site; Shorty: Your Chicago South Side Resource, my community site; and As Not Seen on TV, a now defunct site. She also designed the logo for The Write Design logo.
Nile is highly recommended for your WordPress website design and graphic design services. Visit Blondish.net to find out more about her services and packages.
Dequiana Brooks – Ultimate Marketing Coach
Dequiana (pronunciation: Day-kee-ana) is my buddy and marketing coach. She gives me practical strategies on how to promote my writing and blogging services; my book, 62 Blog Posts to Overcome Blogger’s Block; and my blogs through traditional and social media.
She also coaches me on how to stand out from the crowd with tips on branding and being uniquely me. Lastly, she help small business owners grow their businesses through her Entrepreneur Resources: Small Resource blog.
These are things that I can implement immediately without intimidation.
We met during a dry period in our businesses, when we were trying to figure things out. We were two questions marks who pooled our talents and gifts to become the impactful service providers we are today.
Visit Inspired Marketing Inc. to learn how Dequiana can coach you to business success.
Dante Hamilton – The Ultimate Event Coordinator
Dante Hamilton is my consultant, my buddy and my creative partner in crime. He is the lead organizer for the Chicago WordPress Meetup Group and Chicago Blog Week. We met at his WordPress Meetups and have been in touch ever since. In fact, he is the organizer or co-organizer of several MeetUp groups.
In 2012, he told me to write my book, 62 Blog Posts to Overcome Blogger’s Block, which is currently available on Kindle. Dante also encouraged me to raise money to publish my book through crowdfunding. Lastly, he advises me on how to promote and sell my book and services through events.
Contact Dante if you want to learn more about Chicago Blog Week; if you want to start a MeetUp group; or need help planning your next event.
