I always say that when life happens blogging is one of the first things to go. Well, things in my life are changing and blogging was put on the back burner. The desire is still there, but the time somehow slipped away. Now, I’m working on a plan to manage it all.
What’s New in My World
1. I started a temp job that allows for a lot of thinking and very little time for things I enjoy doing, especially writing and blogging. I do have time to think about how to move forward with my projects, which helps a heap.
2. I’m raising money through my Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to publish my book, 62 Blog Posts to Overcome Blogger’s Block. Although I am far from my goal of $2,850, I have raised $260, which will cover my designer’s rate to complete the book. I’m SO excited right now because, honestly, that is the biggest hurdle for completing the book.
I’ve also been collecting money offline, and I am confident that I will raise enough money to get the workbook edited. So, it’s going much better than I imagined.
3. I’m trying to figure out the brand of me. I know what makes me different but I wonder if businesses care? Also, how do I relay the differentiating factors so that businesses will care?
4. I’m also working on the brand of Marcie Writes and Overcoming Blogger’s Block. I know logos are needed for both sites; however, what is the purpose for each site? I know why I started each site but how what is their purpose in my reaching my professional goals right now?
5. Lastly, and this is a biggie. I finally decided whom I wanted to serve for The Write Design Company after TWO years!!! Do you hear me? It took TWO years to that narrow down!! On the one hand I’m excited that I finally got it; on the other hand, I feel a little s-l-o-w. At least I know and I can plan accordingly for a productive 2014.
6. Oh, one more thing. Book sales are moving right along, which is a blessing. I sold two books in the United Kingdom! I was ecstatic when I got that notification from Amazon.
Just wanted to let you know what’s going on in my world. I’m still with you; just have to create a plan to manage it all.
Be well!
