I just had to share this message because I was sharing that I read about Booker T. Washington and his philosophy for black people with my Twitter pal, David Beeson. We connected through a conversation about our historical interests and I am always enlightened through all of our discussions.
Anyway, Mr. Washington felt that if black people worked hard, then maybe, someday – please, please, please- white people would accept us. He was afraid of upsetting them, even when they were overtly racist and violent.
Check out David’s response to Washington’s thought processes.
Just wow! This was too good not to share. I hope you are as enlightened as I am with this statement.
