National Letter Writing Week – January 9 – 15, 2012

Posted on January 8, 2012July 4, 2016 by Ms. Marcie

Letter Writing

This week is National Letter Writing Week. Take the time to write at least one handwritten letter this week, and report back the following:

  1. Who did you write it to?
  2. How did they react?
  3. How did you feel pulling out pen and paper to put thoughts to paper?

Be sure to report back!

Wow, I did not know such a week existed! I love to hand write letters and cards. However, I have not written a letter in a while, but I write cards on the regular. This is a perfect opportunity to write some letters. Interestingly, I did have an incident over the holidays. I wrote a greeting card to my aunt. I sent her a text asking if she received it. She stated, I received your card, yours was the only one, besides no one sends cards any more. I was disappointed to say the least. But, it will not stop me from doing something that I have done since I was a young girl!

Hi Ms. Keke, thanks for stopping through! It’s great to know that people still hand write letters! This will give me a chance to make some cards and send them to my people. Contrary to your aunt’s statement, people still send cards. And they would love to open their mailboxes to envelopes outside of bills. Keep doing what you do!
