I run into a lot of people with great ideas. Unfortunately, many of those ideas are still in their heads. If these ideas are never released from their brains, they’ll never have a chance to grow and become what they could be. To help bring them to life, you need to write them down.
Following are several reasons you should write down your ideas:
- Writing is thinking on paper. Putting your thoughts on paper allows you to see what you’re thinking. Seeing your vision makes it real.
- Once you write down one idea, you will have even more ideas.
- A burden is lifted when you get thoughts out of your head and onto paper. You will feel lighter and happier.
- Things will get a little scary because you HAVE to act. You can now see what you need to do and the work you have to do.
How to brainstorm
Even though it’s good to write your ideas down, they don’t just have to be text. Draw pictures (even if you can’t draw). Cut pictures from magazines. Visit Pinterest and other sites that house photos, videos and other images. You can even take your own photos.
Do what works best for you. There are no limits to creativity when bringing your ideas to life.
