With over 2 billion monthly active users and over 1 billion daily active users, Facebook is by far the most popular social network. One of the main attractions to Facebook is connecting with people you know. However, once they “gotcha”, they offer several features to keep you there: live video, games, groups, ads and the marketplace.
If you ever experience blogger’s block, hop over to Facebook and you’re guaranteed to find something within five minutes to help you overcome this condition.
Overcome Blogger’s Block Using Facebook
1. Post your favorite and most insightful status updates or the updates of others. Depending on how often you update, this could become a series or a weekly.
2. Share compliments people give you. Depending on what they say, these compliments can also serve as testimonials.
3. Create a photo gallery of your favorite photos – individual photos, specific events or symbolic images.
4. Review your favorite groups, games and apps. Some people only visit Facebook because of their game addiction. Invite your readers to join groups that benefit you.
5. Make a list of Facebook Don’ts. This would be a good video series or photo series if you take screenshots of the offending status updates. Write a post outlining things people shouldn’t do on Facebook or individual posts that are absurd or ridiculous.
6. Share inspirational and success stories. They could be yours or those of others.
7. Thank people who have supported you. What better way to show your appreciation than to thank people publicly.
8. Post your events or those you plan to attend. Some of your readers may need what’s being offered, even it’s just social.
9. Repurpose your updates to write full posts, to create newsletters or videos. You can even write a book from your status updates. If you always provide inspirational posts, compile your information into a book. This is great to build your brand authority on your subject.
10. Spotlight your favorite friends or friends who are doing great things at home, work or in their community.
