As we enter the last days of 2016, I want you to write down your personal and professional 2016 successes, no matter how big or small they were.
Then, write down at least one personal and one professional goal for 2017.
Why is this important? There are three reasons why you should do this.
First, you can see what you’ve accomplished this year. You may not have done everything you wanted, but at least you got started. Starting is the hardest part.
Second, writing down goals for 2017 gives you something to work towards. Keep them small and realistic to make them attainable. If you didn’t finish a project this year, make it a goal to complete it next year.
For example, one of my goals is to get better at photography. I’m going to do a monthly photo challenge to work a different subject each month.
Lastly, the journey is part of success. Celebrate small wins.
Following are a few of my successes and goals.
