As 2015 comes to a close, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support.
As I reflect on my 2015 goals in a previous post, I did not achieve most of them on the list. However, I did accomplish quite a bit this year:
- I’m a board member of the Chicago Writers Association
- 2 Blab interviews
- Presented at the Steel Pen Writers Conference & Technology for Women meetup
- Published The 7 Practices of Highly Underpaid Freelance Writers and Profitable Freelance Writer’s Action Guide eBooks
- Featured Author at Whitney Young Library
- Contract technical trainer position
- Panelist at Afternoon with the Authors at Trinity United Church
- Photoshop and photography classes
- Published several articles and guest posts for the Independent Bulletin newspaper, LinkedIn and prominent online sites
- I finally made it to the Scrapbook Expo after having it on my to-do list for at least 3 years
- Revamped Marcie Writes and Overcoming Blogger’s Block
- Did a little mobile blogging
As I look at this list, it seems at though my writing life has moved from freelance writing to being an author. And writing books weren’t even on my list of things to do when I left my job to pursue my passion of writing in 2008. Oh, well, I’m just going to go where life takes me and enjoy the ride.
Anyhoo, have a wonderful and safe holiday and a prosperous and amazing 2016. See you in January!

Thanks so much, Clara. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2016 brings for you. I’m cheering you on personally and in spirit.
I’m thinking you accomplished a lot this year, especially finishing the book. I hope we both have banner years in 2016!
Thanks, Mitch! I’m looking forward to a stellar 2016.
