After speaking with several professionals in different industries about their bios, the following three mistakes were discovered.

1.     You Don’t Have One

Bios tell your professional story in a narrative format. It highlights who you are, what you do, and your accomplishments at work and in your community. If you don’t have a professional bio, write yours today.

2.     You’re Not Using It Right

Resumes are used for employment opportunities only. Bios are used for employment, speaking engagements, your blogs and social media profiles, business proposals and more.

3.     It’s a Snooozzzzzer

A boring bio is about as bad as not having one at all. Read over your bio. If it’s not engaging to you, it won’t be to your reader either.

If you don’t have professional bio; are not using it right; or have a boring one, you are missing out on opportunities. Purchase How to Write a Powerful Professional Bio or contact Marcie Hill at 877.570.5228 or msmarcie@marciewrites.com.
